BROKEN PEACE
This project was a self-initiated cinematic study focused on capturing a quiet moment interrupted by urgency. The goal was to create a short, story driven sequence that emphasizes mood, pacing, and character presence through minimal action.
I was responsible for multiple stages of the production pipeline, including material editing, character animation, lighting, and compositing. Particular attention was given to framing and lighting to establish a calm, elevated atmosphere before sharply shifting the tone.
The main inspiration came from observing other creators and cinematic superhero sequences, especially how subtle movement and staging can build anticipation. I aimed to recreate that balance of stillness and sudden action while staying true to the character’s style.
The biggest challenge was refining the animation to feel authentically Spider-Man-like capturing the agility, weight, and responsiveness that define the character. This required careful iteration to ensure the movements felt natural, dynamic, and believable.
The final piece serves as a focused exploration of timing, atmosphere, and character-driven storytelling within a short cinematic format.
